Inexpensive Nightstand

I had a different post planned for today, but I couldn't find my camera cord to download my pictures (typical).  :)  So, it'll have to wait.

I've been having tons of inspiration this week!  There are so many furniture pieces we need for our new house that, at times, I get overwhelmed where to start.  Each piece seems a priority!  However, this week, I made decisions as to what I'm going to keep and what pieces I'd like to buy!

This particular inspiration is anything new, but it really hits home that you don't have to spend a lot of money to make your home look nice.  While this nightstand isn't a showstopper, it is simple and clean, letting perhaps some of the other elements in the bedroom steal the show (for example, the vintage lamp!)

It works.  You can get this look $60. A fresh coat of paint (or not) and you got yourself a clean looking and functional nightstand.

  1. I just picked up my first supply of Annie Sloan chalk paint to paint our one nightstand and dresser in our room. I can't wait to get them painted and give them a new look. I went without a nightstand for a while (until I found the right piece) and it sure makes things much easier having a nightstand. This is a nice piece that you've shown above.

  2. Don't let yourself be daunted by task--from the sound of it, you are taking your time and gathering lots of inspiration before leaping headfirst into decorating. I love the nightstand!

  3. Great idea and it would work as an accent table in other areas too. Who doesn't love an extra drawer for sticking remotes and other unattractive necessities?

  4. This is very helpful. I am off to Target. Thanks!

  5. I need to update my nightstand right now, or rather the nightstand. I love the look of layered pillows, but just can’t see myself removing them every night and putting them back on.
