About

Born in the South, but raised on the East Coast and in Europe, I grew up in (and around) classically styled homes.  And that's had an impact on me to this day.

I've moved more times than I can count and I continue to travel; and all of this has helped sharpen my eye for design. My design aesthetic is traditional - but with a fresh take.  By that I mean my designs are traditional at their core.  But, to energize them, I like to infuse them with a bit of modern or, perhaps, a hint of color and/or whimsy.  Great things can happen when you carefully mix traditional and modern elements.

In 2009, I created this blog, Green Street, as a creative outlet to share my passion for home interiors and decorating.  At the start, my focus was the ongoing renovations in our first home (a Cape in Connecticut).  In time, that outlet evolved - almost unintentionally - into this business.  It is a dream come true.  Now I'm helping other families create timeless homes, where they can feel comfortable and happy.

I now live in Louisville, Kentucky with my husband and two children.  I earned a Bachelors of Science degree from Villanova University.  I then earned two Master degrees - one from Columbia University and one from Temple University.
