Blue and White

I love when I find design elements that influence me so much so that I want to try them at home.  I am currently on a blue and white kick.  Perhaps, summer is rubbing off on me.

An oversized fern plant in a blue and white porcelain planter.  That fern plant is huge!  (What size do you think that is?)  If you're interested in finding great blue and white porcelain planters, jars, vases, etc., go here.  I love her planters and am currently saving up for one!

Of course, I am also loving the antique pine table paired with the glossy black bamboo stool with ticking fabric and nailhead!

How cute is that blue and white vase holding those paint brushes?  I love the mix of metals - the brass pen holder and the silver julep cups.

I can't tell you how much I love this tablescape.  I love every detail!

I love how Amber mixed in blue and white pillows in a rather neutral color scheme (green, brown and black).  I think the blue and white pillows really make this couch stand out.

  2. Beautiful images, Fran. I think the first image is of a Boston fern that's been very well-loved to be so big. It looks fantastic in that blue and white pot!

  3. Blue and white is so classic and this post is feeling very English to me. You are right about the last photo with the brilliant mix of pillows, and I'll take the English pine with bamboo stool and fern any day of the week! Yup, I know just where to put all three pieces.

  4. P.S. I have a fern in a blue and white pot sitting next the chair I'm in right now! :)

  5. I just planted an orchid in a blue and white flower pot. Love it. Such a classic look. That tablescape--wondering if you've ever used a French press coffee maker. I've been thinking about getting one...they're too cute!
