If I found one, I'm sure it would need to be reupholstered. I would choose a black and white striped fabric. I think the black and white fabric paired with the brass frame and casters would look so chic.
This fabric which has a sort of john robshaw'esque' feel (at least to me) would be perfect (the price is perfect too)!
I would only need a yard and 1/2 given this nifty little yardage table for reupholstery projects. And, if the frame and casters weren't brass, I would paint it in Rustoleum's Metallic spray paint in brass. Or switch out the existing feet for these beauties!
Okay, now I gotta go out and find me this chair!! :)
I love this post Fran! It reminded me of those children's books - "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie" etc. Please tell me I'm not the only one who knows these books? I actually love the sort of lavender color of the chair in your inspiration pic. It reminds me of a chair I found at an antique mall a while back that was a little more of a barrel shape and not as shapely as the one in your photo. Surely you can find a similar one. I love the fabric and thanks for introducing me to a new fabric source and yardage table! Can't wait to see what you find.

ReplyDeleteThanks, Ashley...you're right. I just looked it up and the chair is made mid-century by company called Jansko. She found hers on ebay by searching 'vintage office chair' for around $60.
