First, let's pretend money isn't an option. If that were the case, I would be all over this beauty:
But, we just came back from vacation and it's back to reality. Of course, with affordable options there is always a little elbow grease involved. So here is this close option from CSN for $74. I would get a can of Rustoleum's Metallic spray paint in brass to paint it and would replace it with a drum shade.
I like this option below, also from CSN, for about $88. I like how it already has a drum shade and the height is 60".
I really like the minamalist look of this next lamp. Straight and simple lines for $134 and the height is 62"!
Lastly, I like this lamp by Robert Abbey, it's the most expensive of the bunch, but the brand name is good and the height is substantial at 64". It runs $266.
Have you thought of thrifting, Fran? I've seen some pretty great brass floor lamps out there which often only need a new shade...
ReplyDeleteIf that's not an option, my favorite is minimalist lamp. I have an vintage one like that with a swing arm, and it's great to be able to adjust the light right where you need it for reading and the like. With the others, you'd need to pick up and move the entire lamp.
This is a timely post, I've just started the hunt for floor lamps for my great room, these are all good looking and affordable.
ReplyDeleteMy pick would be no. 3, with a little paint, great choices. I've been on the hunt for a while too.

Z Gallerie has one a tiny bit like the first one.
ReplyDeleteThey all look good to me.
I so agree, Fran. I can very rarely find floor lamps I like, but you managed to find some that won't completely break the bank. I think my fave is the $88 one from CSN. Let us know what you choose!
ReplyDeleteI like the last, have you chosen yet?
