Architectural Sconces

As of late I have been noticing the use of architectural sconces in interiors and I have to say I really like the look.  I would love to find a unique pair at an antique store and use them in my own home.

As you can see they really work anywhere.  I could even see them above a fireplace mantel (perhaps out of the way of bumping into them in the hallway).  When I asked my husband if he liked this look, the first thing he said, "You're going to bump into those every time you walk by them."

That thought never crossed my mind.  Mars/Venus, anyone? :)

Anywhooo, I love the look and I found a couple of sources online.

Restoration Hardware on sale for $269

Circa Lighting for $315
The Designer Insider for $429
Lovely aren't they?  They would definitely make a statement!  I would love to find some more photos of these beauties.  If you have any on pinterest, please share!

  1. Mars/Venus for sure! My husband would say the exact same thing and he probably would bang his head into one - I can just see it now. Have you seen or heard of the Dunes and Duchess line? One of the creators is Stacy Kunstel. I love the sconces in their line: http://dunesandduchess.com/?page_id=600

  3. We have some in our basement...don't know if you've seen them or not so here's the link. http://www.mapleleavessycamoretrees.com/2011/07/basement.html

Your husband does have a point. Unless you put them somewhere where you're not going to walk by. Although...ours don't really stick out too far. Love the look. We got ours at the PB Outlet, so you can definitely find them on sale somewhere!

  5. I love these sconces and after looking at all these gorgeous images am thinking about replacing some rather disappointing ones in our hallway. Would you really bump into them anymore than a regular sconce? Now I have to measure and check...

  6. Lovely those hanging lampshades, an additional LED lamp can save electricity and give less heat.
