Suggested ID Reading

Today, I thought I'd share the suggested reading list our ID instructor recommended to us (in no particular order):

  1. The "Textile Design" book is gorgeous! Lately I've become more interesting in construction so I may be checking these out!

  3. These look like great books! I love any books by Francis Ching. They are what I used when I was in design school. You should also purchase Space Planning Basics by Mark Karlen. It's full of good info and great graphics. Are you using Autocad? There are so many helpful CAD books out there! Enjoy your design reading and good luck with your class.

  4. When I was in Color Marketing Group I picked up the "Color" book at a conference a few years ago. Well, I still haven't finished it - it's interesting but totally not engaging in my opinion - I'm a color person and I couldn't get into it. You could skip it and not miss anything. The "Colorstrology" book was a fad a few years ago, it's okay. I would check out any books by Leatrice Eisman who is the Pantone lady. She's "the" color guru (and a nice lady to boot). Enjoy your classes!!
