It's funny how I used to be so anti-sectional, but I think stylewise they have come a long way and I now really feel they work so well for some spaces/functions that they cannot be ignored. What I love too is that they're not just for big rooms. The smaller sectionals can be so perfect for providing maximum seating in small spaces, and they're so cozy too!casey at loft and cottagehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07180716705337502674noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6908146748140335005.post-87958504889879020782012-04-01T22:56:45.109-04:002012-04-01T22:56:45.109-04:00I could absolutely see buying a sectional at some ...I could absolutely see buying a sectional at some point. I'd love to sit all cozied up on a sectional with my family watching some dumb kid movie together. :)

Love the room you love too --- very Ashley Putnam, wouldn't you say? And of course, Sheryl Crow's home in AD gets me every time. It's the Spanish Mediterranean influence with the neutrals and contrast I love so much!
CamilleThe Vintique Objecthttp://thevintiqueobject.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6908146748140335005.post-7328006933213543152012-03-27T09:41:56.738-04:002012-03-27T09:41:56.738-04:00When I saw your recent pins, I knew a sectional po...When I saw your recent pins, I knew a sectional post was eminent! We have a sectional down in a basement room and it works there. I think in the right space they're great. It's funny, a new client of mine has a sectional and wants a different coffee table (hers is currently rectangular and she feels it's hard to maneuver around and I agree). I've suggested a couple of oval coffee tables but all your inspiration pics have rectangular or square tables or ottomans. That purple velvet sectional is amazing, and I normally don't like purple OR velvet so it must be something! :)

Laura
www.HappyroostBlog.comLaura@happyroosthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05403894195994115055noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6908146748140335005.post-30469500556839536102012-03-27T07:46:48.216-04:002012-03-27T07:46:48.216-04:00I love sectionals if they are clean-lined and tail...I love sectionals if they are clean-lined and tailored. I really like the one in the last photo and the tufted one. Our family loves the sectional in our living room because everyone has a spot :) I think the mistake people often make is buying a giant, floppy, overstuffed sectional with rolled arms and puffy cushions that totally dominates their space. As you pointed out, scale is really important in regards to sectionals. Great post!Southern Exposurehttp://www.southernexposure1.squarespace.comnoreply@blogger.com
