Oversized Still Life Photos

Lately, I've been really attracted when interiors use oversized still life pictures as art.  Nathan Turner does it well and sells a few in his store.

Have you checked out his store on 1stdibs?  Eye candy!

A couple of framed still life photos for sale in his store.

I think this could be a doable DIY.  And, I am tempted to find the perfect still life to photograph for our living room.

I think Etsy could be a good resource to purchase a still life photo whether it is fruit, flowers, sea life, etc. and then have it super sized!!  Here are a couple I found and liked:

What about you, do you like this look?

  3. Love it. Have a single large scale piece or even a set of these would be a nice change from the often seen gallery wall.

  4. I do love this look! I have a few in my house that are DIY projects...they are not quite as "grande" and large, but nevertheless, not bad for a DIY. (Plus, they were pictures from our garden...what's not to love about that?)

  5. Oh, the first image you shared is gorgeous! Love the pair of enlarged rose photos. This is a great idea. Where were you thinking of getting such a large frame?

  6. I do like this look -- and I think what I love most about it is that the art is oversized. There's not underestimating the impact a large piece of art has in a room. Your idea seems like an affordable way to get that impact.
